A stone’s throw away from Central Park, you will have the whole of New York at your feet: access to Downtown Manhattan couldn’t be easier, with the B an C lines just two blocks away. Supermarket and other facilities are all within walking distance.

Very few places in the world have the architectural and demographic diversity of the Upper West Side of Manhattan. From 59th Street to 110th Street, from Central Park to Riverside Park, the landmark Upper West Side has grand apartment buildings and beautiful townhouses, walk-up tenement buildings, and a smattering of public housing. It is home to internationally acclaimed cultural institutions like Lincoln Center and Symphony Space, the American Museum of Natural History, the Children’s Museum, and the new Jewish Community Center, as well as renowned educational institutions like The Juilliard School, Mannes College of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and Columbia University.

The Upper West Side is a foodie’s paradise. Restaurants of every nationality line Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues, as well as Broadway. Most of them deliver. There are food shops at every turn: the most famous being Fairway, West Side Market, Zabar’s, Barzini’s, Garden of Eden, H & H Bagel, Absolute Bagel, to name a few. Organic food stores are flourishing.

While public transportation is absolutely the best in the City (A, B, C, D, 1, 2, 3 subway trains all stop on the Upper West Side, and there are buses on every avenue), it is also possible to act like a true New Yorker and WALK EVERYWHERE!!! If you must take a taxi, just raise your arm, and “hail” one. A private car service is also readily available with a few moments’ notice.

No Upper West Side experience is complete without exploring Central Park. We are located about 200 feet from Central Park. The Park’s cool and clean air makes NYC’s summers much more bearable. You can rent bikes and ride the miles of roads and pathways; run the Reservoir (1.6 miles on a soft surface); rollerblade; see Shakepeare or an opera or concert; or just play in the many playgrounds and playing fields.
