ID 216 – Unique Harlem turn of the century brownstone – Ideal for large groups of people

The apartment

This renovated, turn of the century Brownstone offers visitors a charming alternative to expensive hotel accommodation, in a history-rich part of NYC.
This apartment is ideal for larger groups such as families, friends, or business colleagues and can accommodate up to ten people. The spacious 2,300 square feet apartment is a duplex containing 4 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a large kitchen open to a living/dining room and an outside deck.
This Brownstone is surrounded by greenery, so don’t be surprised if you awake to the pleasant twitter of the birds in the morning, even in the midst of the city. Despite its location in the heart of New York, this Brownstone is amazingly quiet, as well as very bright and sunny.
The large rooms are decorated with spotless taste and artistic flair, offering an atmosphere of calm, which is sometimes hard to find in the hectic city. All the bedrooms (magnolia-orchid-jacaranda-jasmine) are furnished with a queen size bed, a mirror, a dresser and a large closet. Three of the bedrooms have cable TV; and a computer with High Speed Internet is accessible in the fourth bedroom.
All fresh linens and towels are provided.
The common area consists of a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a microwave, a washer and a dryer, and a well-furnished library (should visitors decide not to indulge in Manhattan’s buzzing nightlife). A phone line is also available for local calls.

The neighborhood

This unique Brownstone is located just a 10 minute subway ride from Times Square and there is also an ice-skating rink in the winter and a swimming pool in the summer just a 5mn walk from the house in beautiful CENTRAL PARK. The transport links are excellent, as the house is located just 1 block away from the 2 and 3 express lines. If you would rather take in some of the sights by catching a bus, you will find the M2 (which goes to 5th Ave), the 7 (which goes to Colombus Ave) and the M102 (which goes to Lexington ave), all just one block away. NYC tours (Gray line, Uptown loop) can also drop you right on 117 St. and Lenox.
This home is a warm and friendly alternative for New York living, situated in a quiet location but only a stone’s throw away from anything that you could possibly need. Whether your plans are to shop, to tour the city or to do business in NYC, this Brownstone will be the perfect place to stay.

Just want everyone to know this was a great location. We used the subway to get everywhere. Huge place to stay in, we had 5 girls and 3 guys and never had issues with getting ready in the morning as everyone had their own room and we 2 full bathrooms showering became easy. thanks

This was a great apartment to stay in during our stay in NYC. The bedrooms are huge, the living room spacious with a wonderful deck off of it. This apartment was near the subway and it seemed about 20 minutes from Times Square. The owner lives downstairs and is very helpful and pleasant.

This is a big, airy, comfortable, artistic, convenient, well-equipped 4 bedroom unit on a safe, friendly street where we always found parking. The owner is helpful, available, and keeps a stock of pamphlets and brochures on NYC activities and sights on the coffee table. The place is centrally located, being about 7 – 8 blocks from Central Park to the south, the Apollo Theater to the north, and Columbia to the west, and FDR Drive to the east, and two blocks from the 116th Subway Station. The wonderful Best Yet Market is 3 blocks away, right next to a Starbuck’s. Feels like home.
