The neighborhood

Great neighborhood, steps away DeKalb Avenue with a myriad of bars, restaurants and other shopping facilities.

You can find everything you need in Fort Greene, from the Crunch gym club to excellent restaurants (among our favorites are: Cafe Lafayette, Chez Loulou, Veliis, Habana Outpost, Sushi D), and bars such as Moe’s and Frank’s. If you feel like getting some fresh air, you can enjoy a promenade or get active in the scenic Fort Greene Park with its 4 outdoor tennis courts. Every Saturday morning is the farmer’s market down the stairs on your block!
For those rainier days, why not catch a movie at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, where there is a great independent movie theater. It is located only a few blocks from the apartment!

I highly recommend this apartment. My husband and I had previously rented apartments for vacations in London and Puerto Rico, and we found this apartment to be our favorite.

We stayed six nights for our 5th year wedding anniversary. We were very satisfied with the location–a tree-lined street across from Fort Greene park in Brooklyn. We were pleased with the size and amenities of the apartment–the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for making meals, not to mention a cozy couch and very charming dining table.

Arthur was professional, very helpful and always available when we needed him.

Thanks for a great vacation. We look forward to coming back on an annual basis from here on out!

When we arrived in Brooklyn, Arthur was very kind and came to the Subway station to pick us up. He was very accommodating and made us feel at home. He pointed out the different subway stations, various restaurants in the area, laundry facilities, and grocery stores. The apartment was clean and quiet. The neighborhood was nice and was quiet as well. I stayed in Boston in 2010, and the apartment there faced the street and it was very noisy. This studio in Brooklyn was just the opposite.

There are two subway stations in either direction which will take you anywhere in the city! We went to Coney Island, Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, Manhattan, Times Square, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Ground Zero, walked the Brooklyn Bridge.

I hope to return to Brooklyn for another visit in the spring of 2012, and I would stay in this studio again.

My husband and I had a great experience in this apartment. It’s a great deal, as you save money on breakfast/coffee in the morning by making your own.

Also, you can take your laundry to a laundromat around the block with same day drop off service. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to several nearby subway stops, and the neighborhood itself is charming and has many nice restaurants and coffeehouses.

We look forward to our next trip!
